Stone Watching

Description

The Stone Watchers believe that all truth is etched into the forms of nature, and stone's unchanging nature makes it a source of persistant readable truth. They seek to extract this truth through extended gaze and meditation.

Though the particular method varies, the essence of the Stone Watcher's practice is always quite similar. They dedicate themselves to a stone, aiming to know all that there is to know about it, and in doing so unravel the secrets held within. The size of the stone and the dedication of the practitioner vary wildy. Some study a mighty boulder for a few minuites a day, while others contemplate a pebble from noon to night.

Notable sub groups are the Polishers, who belive that polishing a flat face allows a plane of truth to be divined through the rock, and the crystal watchers, who consider it folly to seek truth in plain stones.
